- Coarse salt
- 4 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- 1 ½ oz vodka
- 1 T rosemary simple syrup
- Splash sparkling water
- Small sprig rosemary
- Salt the rim of a cocktail glass.
- In a shaker with ice, combine grapefruit juice, vodka, and simple syrup and shake vigorously.
- Fill cocktail glass with ice cubes, pour cocktail over and garnish with a sprig of rosemary.
Rosemary Simple Syrup
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c water
- 2 branches fresh rosemary
- Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan and heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a simmer.
- Turn off the heat and allow liquid to cool.
- Remove rosemary, place in a sealed container and refrigerate until ready to use.
