Without a Recipe: Sugar Snap Peas
Sweet, tender, and tasting of spring, sugar snap peas are a true seasonal treat. Snack on them right out of the bag, or enjoy one of these dishes that come together in a snap!
- Make a quick stir-fry with garlic, ginger, spring onions and sugar snap peas in toasted sesame oil. Sprinkle with a few drops of soy sauce and serve with jasmine rice.
- Slice thinly and toss with crunchy cabbage, julienned carrots and spring onions for a quick, sprightly slaw.
- Slowly braised in butter, sugar snaps turn silky and tender. Serve as a simple side or stir into risotto with handfuls of parmesan.
- Bring back 80’s favorite Pasta Primavera–toss hot pasta with quickly sauteed spring onions, asparagus, carrots, and sugar snaps, then add a splash of warm cream and some grated parmesan.
