Ginger & Mint Margaritas

Ginger & Mint Margaritas

Ginger Beer may not be the traditional ingredient in a margarita, but we think SOCO Ginger Beer brings a welcome kick to this classic drink. Mix with fresh mint and tequila for a refreshing cocktail!

Makes: 1 cocktail

1 part tequila or mezcal (We like Dolce Vita Tequila made in Austin, TX)
1 part lime juice
2 parts SOCO Ginger Beer (any preferred flavor)
1 sprig fresh mint
Ice cubes

For the rim:
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 fresh lime

Zest lime and cut into wedges. In a shallow dish (such as a saucer), combine lime zest, sugar, and salt. Rub zest into sugar/salt mixture with your fingers until incorporated. Run a lime wedge along the rim of four margarita glasses and turn upside to dip into the sugar mixture. Combine tequila with ginger beer in the glass and garnish with fresh mint. Top with plentiful ice cubes.
